LMRA club matches are open to all members of the Association. These matches cater for a variety of different levels of expertise. The majority of these matches will allow for novices to shoot alongside and gain experience from the more seasoned shooters within the team.
Most matches are coached (i.e. the shooter has an experienced coach next to them to plot shots and correct for wind variations), so the stress of trying to read the wind as well as shoot is removed. We find this is useful for all shooters as it allows them to concentrate on their shooting technique. Often the lower scores in the team will not be counted when deciding the result of the match, again removing some unnecessary pressure from inexperienced shooters lacking in confidence.
Ammunition of good match quality is supplied by the Association and included in the cost of the shoot.
These matches are subsidised by apporximately 25%.
For those that do not want to shoot under match conditions or in a team enviroment, the Association provides regular targets throughout the year for practice shooting. Members can book a time and shoot on their own with no pressure. This facility is also available to members of Affiliated Clubs.
